Capuchin Franciscan Leadership Council

The Capuchin Franciscan Leadership Council (CFLC) is a group of influential lay people and province leaders who have been brought together to help provincial leadership identify major strategic issues, create plans that address those issues, and implement those plans.

The by-laws for the CFLC describe its purpose as follows, “…integrate the experience, expertise, and knowledge of outstanding members of the greater Capuchin community into executing the mission and operations of the Capuchin Province of St. Mary.”  These same by-laws define the greater Capuchin community as friends, ministers, clergy, and supporters of the Capuchin Franciscan Order, worldwide.

The men and women who serve on the Council are asked to apply their talents and expertise to the many challenges and opportunities that face the Province.  To achieve that objective, it's important that they:

  • Familiarize themselves with the Province and its ministries
  • Assist in publicizing and promoting the good works of the Province
  • Advise and consult on the management of provincial properties and assets
  • Identify other people and corporate organizations that might provide help
  • Assist in developing fund raising goals and strategies
  • Participate in quarterly meetings to assist with overall planning, control, and communication as well as serving on various committees as needed.

Fr. Michael Greco, Provincial Minister of the Province, serves as ex officio the President of the CFLC and is responsible for appointing the Chairperson.  The Chairperson is Mr. Patrick Moore.  In addition to our primary CFLC group,  there is a regional group based in Boston that is focused on supporting the province and its programs in that area of the Province.
