Feast of Saint Martin de Porres Prayer For Vocations

November 03, 2016

Prayer For Vocations-November 03, 2016
Feast Day of Saint Martin de Porres

“Martin the charitable.” St. John XXIII

Spirit of wisdom and divine love, impart to youth Your knowledge, understanding, and counsel that they may know the vocation wherein they can best serve God.

Give them courage and strength to follow God's holy will. Guide their uncertain steps, strengthen their resolutions, shield their chastity, fashion their minds, conquer their hearts, and lead them to the vineyards where they will labor in God's holy service.

Through the intercession of our holy father Dominic, our sister Catherine of Siena, and our brother Martin de Porres, raise up vocations to religious life and the priesthood.

Send Your Holy Spirit to guide and inspire the hearts of men and women to follow in the footsteps of our holy fathers Dominic and Francis of Assisi.

Strengthen us in our vocation for preaching and service to God’s people. May our lives always witness to others the gifts of our common life as servants to those in need. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. St. Martin de Porres, pray for us!
